Golden Eagle

The Golden Eagle’s eyes are so sharp that it is able to descry the twitch of a rabbit from two miles away. This partly results from their relatively large size; if human eyes were of the same proportion, they would be the size of clenched fists.

Descry (pronounced “dih-SCRY”)

1. To catch sight of (something difficult to discern).
2. To discover by careful observation or scrutiny; detect: descried a message of hope in her words.
